Water Activities

Want to bring the ocean to your home? Do this experiment.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Water
  • Cooking oil (Vegetable would also work well)
  • Blue food coloring
  • Large bottle
  • Funnel

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Fill approximately 1/3 of your bottle with water.
  2. Add several drops of food coloring.
  3. Shake the bottle to disperse the food coloring.
  4. Fill the rest of the bottle with oil.
  5. Put the lid back on the bottle.
  6. Turn the bottle upside down.
