Want to make a rockin’ piece of art? Do this absorption activity!
YOU WILL NEED:
- Washable markers (not permanent markers – the ink needs to bleed when wet)
- Paper towel
- Paintbrushes (or a cup of water and a medicine dropper).
- Water
DIRECTIONS:
- Scribble or make a design all over a piece of paper towel, filling in as much white space as possible.

WORK ON A HARD SURFACE…
2. Once you’ve finished filling in your paper towel, place it on a hard, non-absorbent surface.
JUST ADD WATER…
3. Wet the paper towel by either brushing water onto it with a paintbrush, or by dripping water all over it with an eye dropper.
4. This part of the process is water absorption. Watch the colors bleed and blend as the paper towel absorbed the water. You will see your artwork transform before your eyes!(Photo Credit: Pinterest)DRYING YOUR PAPER TOWEL ART:
5. Dry your paper towel somewhere that the air can get under it and all around. Just be sure to lay it on a surface that will not absorb the color (i.e. a cookie sheet).
You are done, yippee! Who will you share your piece of beautiful paper towel art with?
